| During these years, China needs more and more high level qualified personnel accompanying with its socialist market economy developing, so the number of the people who take the graduate entrance test has been increased dramatically every year. Among those entrance test takers, middle school teachers account for a fairly large proportion. Middle school teachers constitute a special group among those in-employment test takers, and their taking the graduate entrance test brings issues, which cannot be ignored, to the country, society and families. Causes behind this phenomenon cover not only deep-level social reasons, but also complicated individual ones.This thesis employed the qualitative research method and made a case study of four middle school teachers in Shandong Province. This thesis first introduces these four teacher's experiences separately by means of narrative. Then it is goinging to analyze their causes from two dimensions (individual environment factor and organizational environment factor) by using sociological theories, such as, the social lamination and the social mobility, which include, the family education influence (mainly in order to please parents); the individual emotional reasons; to gain the occupational prestige by enhancing their own knowledge and to escape oppressive environment (mainly referring to the improper school management measures). Then the positive effects to the community and individuals resulted from the phenomenon will be discussed, such as, it brings the positive influence to their students; it is beneficial to improve the overall the quality of education; it promotes the normal flow of qualified personnel and improves their own social status; it helps school leaders to improve their leadership, understand the school's real information and it helps adjust the education of master's degree to improve the quality of teachers. Some measures will be suggested finally in this thesis that the educational entities may want to take: treat the phenomenon correctly and establish a scientific concept regarding the middle school teachers' flow; improve and complete the employment system, incentive mechanism and the interests distribution mechanism; strengthen the training system, and promote the teachers' growth; manage schools under the laws, and improve the environment of schools; inspire teachers' sense of achievement by a people-oriented approach, and so on.This thesis aims to arose the social attention to the real needs inside middle school teachers, change the negative attitude which many people usually hold toward this phenomenon, strengthen the communication between society and teachers, offer psychological basis for school leaders in choosing management measures, make teachers develop healthily and promote the teacher education perfectly. |
