Mathematics centers on problems. Our traditional mathematics teaching in junior middle school attaches much great importance to the knowledge and the skill education, but very little pays attention to the ability of the student to discover and solve problems and the sense of creation. Along with the 21st century's development, mankind is entering a new era of the "knowledge-based economy". The key to accept the challenge of the future lies in whether we can develop more talent for the innovation of knowledge and technology. Modern education not only requests the teacher to teach knowledge to the students, but also stresses on training the students'innovative spirit and ability. Since the end of last century, we have been facing a curriculum reform movement around the world. It is on the rise until now. To the junior high school math teacher, this mathematics curriculum reform gives attention to training the students to discover and explore awareness of the problem, improving the ability of their active participation and questioning. In fact, from considering whether the aspect of education value or the existing theory achievement and a mathematics teacher's experience, training the student's consciousness of discovering and questioning is an indispensable content in the junior middle school mathematics teaching, and an essential way to raise the students'innovative spirit and ability.Based on the above question's understanding, this article begins with the research on the question consciousness of Chinese and foreign scholars, and connects with the reality of our country new curriculum reform. Then it discusses the connotation of the question consciousness, principle and great importance of raising mathematics question consciousness in the junior middle school mathematics teaching. Through the analysis of present situation and reason, we propose the method and the strategy of raising the students'mathematics question consciousness in order to give some references to our mathematics teaching under the new era.
