With the development of globalization and localization, the reform of teaching and learning in new curriculum should start from domestic and find the globalization way based on localization. We should focus and promote the development of Chinese teaching and learning to make improvements, not to totally negate the exist traditional theory of education, or totally copy the abroad theory of education. The research focus is to grasp the essential of educational theory, explore the way of localization, therefore apply it creatively. The author think geography teaching should base on the geographical characteristics of the teaching region, adopt contents and methods of teaching suitable for those students, to realize the goal of new curriculum. This is the most important part of localized geography teaching. So the research of geography teaching localization succeed to the sprit of educational localization and effective reaction to education globalization, meanwhile it also incarnate the reform sprit of new curriculum of our country, and it will contribute to realize the goal of new curriculum .The first two chapters analyze the background and significance of the thesis by three aspects, development of globalization and localization, development of education localization, and the reform of new curriculum in our country. It establishes the basics for the significance and content system of geography teaching localization. Chapter three and four discuss the meaning and system of geography teaching localization which based on analysis of subject basic of geography teaching localization. Chapter five uses case study , analyze the concept and characteristic of geography case-based teaching in middle school , meaning of case-based teaching localization, reality and problem and principle of case-based teaching localization. Then design localized case of geography teaching by the principle.
