With the deep revolution of employment system for graduates and the quick enlargement of higher education in our country, the graduates have been rapidly increased, and it seems hard for them to find a job. This problem has been widely cared all over the country, and it is also a hot point in research of pedagogic and psychology. In order to find the whole situation of pressure and employment orientation for collage students in Huai'an City, the research has been done in five higher academies in north of Jiangsu province. Through the research, the relativity between pressure and employment orientation were investigated, and new features and disciplines were found for employment guidance and psychological counseling. This research took method of questionnaire survey in terms of pressure source, pressure testing and employment orientation. Totally 2156 collage students from different grades were tested together on class-time in Huai'an City. Firstly, we used independent sample T testing and multiple dimensions variance to analyze and compare the distributive features among different groups on pressure and employment orientation. Secondly, we used correlativity analysis and multiple linear regressions analysis to investigate the relationship between pressure and employment orientation. The results show that:1. The pressure level seems a little higher for collage students, and employment pressure is the main source of pressure.2. There is no significant difference of pressure level on employment between collage students in Normal University and Technological University. While there is a significant difference between undergraduates and junior collage students. There is also a significant difference of pressure level between different sexes, majors and grades. For example, especially the senior students have higher pressure than other grades students. Generally speaking, the pressure for senior is highest, for junior is a little lower than senior, for sophomore and freshman is the lowest.3. There is no significant difference between undergraduates and junior collage students in terms of employment orientation. While there is a significant difference between undergraduates and junior collage students. The students in different groups may have different employment orientation in terms of different majors, sexes and grades.Especially seniors have a great difference among other grades.4. The relationship between employment pressure and orientation: the total pressure levels seem to be in direct proportion with orientation in all scores. The employment pressure makes a significant prediction for orientation. Among the different grades of undergraduates, there is no significant relation between total pressure levels and employment orientation for freshman and sophomores in all scores. While the significant relation did exist for juniors in three scores, but no relation I other scores. Seniors have to find a job after leaving school, so for seniors there is a great relationship between pressure level and employment orientation, as well as in terms of majors and sexes. The final solution and suggestion were concluded by this research according to the problems reflected by collage students when they are hunting a job.
