Developing students' ability and Serving for obtaining employment are the guiding ideologies for secondary vocational schools.The Chinese teaching at secondary vocational schools must be up to the students' reality and real need and then train students' oral communicative ability in a planned way so as to improve students' occupational quality and as well, to get ready for their future career and long life development.In order to learn about actual situation of Chinese oral communicative ability, the writer investigated separately the following aspects in the secondary vocational schools, the real situation of Chinese teacher's teaching and their students' learning, the graduates' real needs and the suggestions fed back by the units attached to the school. Besides the writer also analyzed the main reasons for poor oral communicative ability. The writer concluded that the students' poor basis, casual training courses, incorrect training methods and the shortage of evaluation led to the failure. Therefore, The writer of the essay raised that the teaching materials for the oral communicative ability must be designed as a complete practical course. As well, We must give the training course to the students with the real-life teaching method, using the evaluation standard on the course of the students' development. Meanwhile, It should be proved to be true or not with teachers' teaching practice and research. Finally, The writer proposed that it is necessary to offer an independent course for oral communicative ability at secondary vocational schools. More over, The writer gave some advice that we should compile proper school teaching materials for oral communicative ability and add the tests of it.
