Humane quality-oriented education, one educational concept, is to spur, through various channels, students' internalization development and to help students to form some steady internal spiritual character through education of Humanities, Social and Sciences. Humane quality-oriented education is significant for students receiving higher vocational education. Humane quality-oriented education fosters students' all-around development, strengthens their core career capacity and enhances their awareness of Chinese traditional culture and pride in inheriting national humanities spirit. However, the present situation of higher vocational students' humane quality is not satisfactory and desires humane quality-oriented education. This paper, based on questionaire and interviews on some higher vocational students in Henan province, shows that some students are not aware of the importance of humane quality-oriented education, lack humanism knowledge and skills, their core career capacity needs to be improved, and their morality and manners should be improved. The questionaire and interviews also reveal that humanistic curriculum and the channels of the humane quality-oriented education require innovation.Higher vocational education, being vocational and technical, aims at cultivating professional talents with high technology, good practical abilities and professional ethics to work in the fields of manufacturing, management and service. Higher vocational education targeted on meeting the social needs requests higher vocational students to have strong learning ability, communication ability, problem-solving ability and innovative ability. Owning such core career capacity would help students to adapt themselves to the changeable industrial construction and employment situation.Taking into consideration of the importance of humane quality-oriented education, the survey and the analysis of higher vocational education, this paper discusses the character of higher vocational humane quality-oriented education. Higher vocational humane quality-oriented education should be "vocational", that is, humane quality-oriented education should foster the cultivation of students' core career capacity, thus improving their professional quality and cultivating their professional spirit. The countermeasures adopted in higher vocational humane quality-oriented education should also be "vocational". To cultivate high quality talents, humane quality-oriented education covers education concerning ethics, environment, Chinese traditional culture, psychology, aesthetics, career scheme and career-creation. This paper also explores some countermeasures to strengthen vocational humane quality-oriented education, namely, improve teachers' humane quality and humanistic curriculum, make the most of students' initiative and innovate the channels of the humane quality-oriented education. Besides, this paper introduces advanced experience in humane quality-oriented education of some countries.
