Optimize The Preliminary Study Of The Geography Teachers Teaching Basic Skills

The new curriculum reform which is being implemented requires the geography teachers to lead the students to grow and to research on the content of education. The connotation and extension of the new teaching basic skills under the new curriculum reform put forward a much newer and higher requirement for the geography teachers. Therefore, an exploration of the way to optimize the basic skills for geography teachers is helpful to promote the curriculum reform and the quality education.The basic teaching skills of the geography teachers are the necessary knowledge, skills, measures and qualities in the course of teaching. The new curriculum reform requires geography teachers to re-examine and promote the traditional teaching skills, such as writing neatly with the brush, the pen and the chalk, and speaking standard Chinese, as well as teaching with related pictures. It also demands the teachers to acquire the ability of co-teaching and the knowledge of new geography information in order to learn and create the new basic teaching skills.Based on the geography teaching in schools of the Yixing City and the basic and professional skills the geography teachers have, according to the research at home and abroad, this paper means to find out the problems in the teaching process and analyze the related reasons. On the basis of this, the paper puts forward the six principles of pertinence, feasibility, practicality, systemic, innovation and lifelong learning. According the training of optimization principles of school-based, the paper proposes the contents of basic skill, which including effectiveness of the framework for classroom teaching, teaching innovation, using of the map, enhancing the teachers' quality and cultivating the students' quotient of emotion.
