After the reform and open policy, as a result of the economical, social, the cultural life profound vicissitude, the gambling phenomenon has expanded. Specially in the countryside, the gambling practice was in vogue, and had very many new situations and the characteristic in recent years. Each kind of gambling illegal and criminal activities has spread in countryside many areas.The gambling pattern renovates unceasingly. The number of Gambler increases unceasingly. The gambling stake is more and more big.It brings the huge negative influence to the society.With the profound social, economical, cultural and historical reason, the gambling phenomenon has expanded, Gambling has encouraged the social convention which is opportunistic and attains without effort.It not only affected the normal life and production of all the gamblers and their family, but also affected entire countryside social stability,the socialism new rural reconstruction and armonious society's constructionIn this papers we focused on two administrative villages which locate in the southeast of Anhui Province. A survey questionnaire, face-to-face interview as well as non-participation type method of inspection were used. More over empirical study to the current rural gambling phenomenon.Using the sociological correlation theories, from the gambling stake, the type and the place of gambling, psychological characteristic and motive of the gambler obtaining, we analyze social, economical, cultural and the root causes of the social psychology behind the countryside gambling phenomenon. From individual, the family, society's different stratification plane we analyze the cost and the influence of the countryside gambling. Finally, The practical prescription for controling and governing the rural gambling question. Embarks from conformity of the structure and the culture. separately using methods of laws, morals, custom carries on the lamination government. Through executing the links of attack, guard and education , to built the comprehensive social system which guards against the question of the countryside gambling.
