By the method of qualitative research, the research focused on the influence of child-nurturing incident on professional development of kindergarten teachers. After analyzing the phenomena of the influence, the researcher studied the causes of these different influences. Then the strategies of stimulating teachers' professional development through child-nurturing incident were discussed.The main positive influences for the teachers include enhancing the ability of interpersonal interaction; renewing the conceptions and thoughts; enriching the education experiences; improving the knowledge about preschool education; raising the self-development consciousness. At the same time, the child-nurturing incident can have negative effect on the teachers' professional development from the following aspects: the professional enthusiasm and ambition may be oppressed; the devotion to the profession may be reduced; the attending of advanced studies may be paused; the professional support for the teachers may be decreased.The main causes of different influences include: teachers' personal characteristics; the devoted or weak support from the family; management of kindergarten. And the characteristics of the influence include: interaction of the double roles; seclusion of the influence on a certain degree; different influences because of different stages; lagging of the influence.In order to increase the positive influence and decrease the negative influence, the researcher brought out the self-development strategies from the two perspectives of teachers' self-improvement and striving for family support, and management strategy of assisting professional development for kindergarten teachers.
