Population culture research and construction is an important task of changing the working methods of population and family planning and addressing population issues comprehensively in our country. This paper analyzes and studies the characteristics of population gender culture in the reproduction age and the physical force age of the Autonomous Prefecture of Southeast Guizhou and elaborates the change and modernization course of the population gender culture in the prefecture since Ming and Tsing Dynasty, and reflects the basic conditions of its population gender culture through amount of literature material, combing with the reality of continuous highly imbalanced SRB in Miaos and Dongs Autonomous Prefecture of Southeast Guizhou. On the basis of what has been mentioned above, this paper appraises the current basic condition of the childbearing desire by means of a "people's childbearing desire field survey" and analyzes the influence of its population gender culture in the prefecture on its population development in accordance with the survey result. In the end, this paper. discusses the basic tactic of constructing the advanced population gender culture in the Autonomous Prefecture of Southeast Guizhou from the aspects of defining what advanced population gender culture is, analyzing the opportunity and challenge of constructing advanced population gender culture in the Autonomous Prefecture of Southeast Guizhou, developing local economy, enhancing the work of population and family planning in the new period, inheriting the traditional population gender culture critically, strengthening propaganda and education and realizing the social gender mainstreaming, etc.
