Language is a unique phenomenon to human society, on the individual, the language is a tool for thinking and social interaction, and is a cognitive ability, is an important symbol of the children's social and personality development, In any society, language is ranked in an important position and given high attention. In each area, language has its own unique importance. It is very necessary to research and care about children's language.The purpose of this study was to determine how the different story presentinfluence the children's ability of retelling the story. During the study, children wererandomly divided into three groups to accept a similar story, the first group heard the storythat the teacher told and they were had story book and read each other, the second groupof children listen to stories through the recording to master story, the third group watchedthe story of the video to understand the story, The language samples were elicited from theparticipants by retelling a story they had heard and watched. The language samples weretranscribed and analyzed using The Language Assessment Criteria of The ProjectSpectrum to analyze and investigate the children's ability of retelling the story fromeight elements including the structure of the narrative, the same theme, describing the. useof tone, the use of dialogue, marked time use, performance, and the level of vocabulary,sentence structure. But each element can be divided into three grade levels to investigation.The results showed that the children's ability of retelling the story was no significantdifference between the first group and the second group, the third group had the lowestoverall score, the children's ability of retelling the story is a common structure componentof different elements, although from an overall perspective many children's ability ofretelling the story are at the same level, there are greater differences in the capacity factorof retelling ability. Different children in the same language activities had the differenttelling number and different characteristics of languages. The different way of childrenaccepted the story does not affect the number of words and the level of children's retelling.In the final of the paper, the author gave some education advice to the teachers in thekindergartens to help them instruct children to their language and need to continue tostudy the subject in the future.
