The reform of basic education in China has been developing healthily, orderly, and comprehensively. Some new curriculums have been applied into classes and schools gradually. Nowadays, because of the reform in chemistry, I think the main solution is motivation the interests in learning for the problems that how to connect the teaching of chemistry with the colorful social life, how to develop and utilize the existing experience of students, how to ignite impassions of study, and how to guide students to study independently.Interests in learning have an important role for students to study well. It has been proved that their academic performances would be quite different whether students have the interests or not. The aims of the assignment intend to motivate the interests in learning that enable students to be willing to learn chemistry, to be pleased to learn chemistry and to be able to learn chemistry perfectly, thereby to improve their academic performance.There are six parts in the assignment. The first part is expositing of the reasons, the background, the purposes, the significance, and the statute in abroad. The second part is expounding the definitions and theoretical foundation of interests, interests in learning, interests in learning chemistry. The third part is discovering the relevant factors in impact of the interests in learning chemistry based on surveys. The forth part is providing some series strategy of motivations under the relevant factors, and also it would be practiced in our junior middle school. The fifth part is experimental testing. Through the practice in our junior middle school, academic performance of the students in the experimental class has been increased significantly compared with before. The last part is conclusions and recommendations. According to the results of the experimental testing, it illustrates that the series strategy of motivations are operational and effectively. Hopefully, it could help the chemistry teachers in junior middle school.
