In the recent years, As a result of the popularity of the nine-year compulsory education, there have been significant differences on the basis among the students in Senior High. And other differences are more obvious in learning motivation, learning method and so on. However, the differences have been generally ignored so far. We use the unified standards and requirements of students, inevitably resulting in"Poor students even worse, good students even better", especially for the emerging Information Technology education courses. In this paper, in the class with the different levels of students in, it is necessary to truly improve the quality of teaching. The key is how to deal with individual differences between students, "Tiered progressive teaching" is the most effective and reasonable teaching method to solve this problem. Tiered progressive teaching is a individualized teaching strategy in the form of the collectivity. It applies the thinking abilities to teaching classes, trying to find a meeting point between teaching classes and thinking abilities, and builds a bridge between the individual and group teaching instruction to realize the complement with each other, so that it will provide a teaching environment adapting to the feature of the development of them for students of different levels, realizing both training and supplement. It also stresses individual differences of the students, so that they can have a better development on their original basis. That is, stratification of students according to the individual differences between students under the common goals of education, then the students at all levels can make high-level progress under different teaching methods.With tiered progressive teaching proposed, there are also Bloom's "learning to master "theory, Vygotsky's "recent developments" theory, who is a educator of the former Soviet Union, Babanski "Optimize the teaching process" theory, and so on , in addition to the support of the ancient theory, providing a theoretical basis for tiered progressive teaching.In this paper, carry out an in-depth research on tiered progressive teaching of Information Technology course in Senior High on the basis of previous research methods.
