Over exploitation results in ecological damage and global environmental crisis due to excessive needs and requests of human beings. The author applies the theories of environment education, quality education, curriculum standard, environmental ethics and pedagogy to analyze and study the current environment awareness of Macao students and cultivation on the environment.This thesis aims to explore the environment education undertaken by Macao secondary schools. "My environment concept", the environment questionnaire, is used to understand the environment awareness (including knowledge, attitude and value) of Macao secondary students. It gives an insight into the attention of environmental problems, sources of environmental information and education demand of Macao secondary students. The author clarifies the research results and allows the students to "learn in the environment" through PBL and outdoor Curricular activities. Through the pedagogical practice of secondary geography, the methods to cultivate environmental awareness of Macao secondary students are discussed. In light of this perspective, it is to provide solid concepts to the secondary schools to develop environment education in order to establish the students with positive feelings and attitude towards the nature and environment, so that they can actively participate environment protection, influence others and become responsible citizens.
