Innovation is the soul of a nation,education is the main way to cultivate innovative person. The quality education for improving students' integrated diathesis takes cultivating students' innovative thinking as an important task.To cultivate students' innovative thinking in subject teaching is one of the important topics of overall carrying out quality education and improving the quality of education,also is an urgent mission for the educators.Secondary school stage is a critical period for students to experience a significant change in their thinking.It will achieve significant results to carry out innovative thinking education at secondary school education.Chemistry is an experimental-based applied and practical subject;it is also a highly abstract subject with logical theory of strict disciplines.Chemistry experiment can not only provide a factual basis for students' correctly recognizing things and studying the changes of things,but also stimulate students' interest in studying and cultivate students' problem-solving abilities.Chemistry experiment for its vivid charm and rich cultural connotation plays a unique function and role in cultivating students' innovative spirit and practical ability. Therefore,more attention should be paid to the secondary school chemistry experiment learning in order to improve students' quality of innovation,as well as cultivate and develop students' innovative thinking.Mind-map,was made by Tony Buzan in the1960's,who is an English researcher.The purpose for Tony Buzan's invention of mind-map is to attain the full potential of human brain, visualize human's thinking process,and stimulate the inherent creativity in human brain. Mind-map is a tool of specifying one's radioactive thinking which contains synthesized utilization of characters,marks,pictures,colors and so on.As an effective instrument of schema, mind-map can promote the generation of inspirations and inspire the formation of divergent thinking,in order to achieve the cultivation and development of innovative thinking.On how to promote the development of secondary school students' innovative thinking,this paper constructs a new model for students to study at chemistry experiment in the application of mind-map tool.The model gives full play to the potential value of mind-map.It benefits developing students' innovative thinking,as well as enhancing the quality of their innovation;it also complies with the direction of chemical education reform,and better reflects the characteristics of contemporary education.This paper mainly includes three parts.The first part discusses the theory about mind-map and innovative thinking.The second part is the main part of this paper.It contains a series of research activities based on mind-map with the purpose of cultivating innovative thinking.Ways of questionnaire,private talks and analyses of data are used to throw light upon the efficiency of mind-map and the learning model constructed by the penman.The third part sums up the results and the insufficiencies of the experimental research and makes a long-term prospect of the study.In a word,this study makes some preliminary experiments and attempts in building new learning models for cultivating secondary school students' innovative thinking;it also provides a useful reference for mind-map's being widely applied in the field of teaching.
