In the latest years, with the rapid growth of the technology information, the informationize wave, which is mainly concentrated on multimedia and network technology, swept across the whole campus. Meanwhile, more and more modern teaching methods are taken into use .With the advent of the information age, the demand for social is gradually from the application of the knowledge to the innovation of the knowledge. And with the impact of modern information technology, traditional teaching can not meet the needs of the community of training new personnel. In order to change the backward situation of traditional teaching, the integration of information technology and the curriculum will become an important part of education reform, in particular, blended learning provides a practical way to train new personnel. The course of "Technology and Design" is the required course for high school students in our country. The application of blended learning in the course of "Technology and Design" can improve students'enthusiasm, initiative of learning and promote students to find problems, analysis problems and solve problems, so as to improve students'overall quality and enhance the technical quality of students, which can provide a reform program for traditional high school education that is at the support of information technology.For this purpose, this study begins from the analysis of the current status at home and abroad of blended learning. it introduces the definition of blended learning of the domestic and foreign scholars , the content of blended learning and Khan octagonal structure model. And this study uses the method of action research to deeply analyze the practical application of blended learning in the activities of teaching and learning. it shows the characteristics of technology and design course, the deficiencies of technology and Design" teaching, the feasibility analysis of application of blended learning to"technology and Design" teaching and the existing conditions lay the foundation for blended learning. Three rounds of action research focus on students'cooperative and self-learning mode which bases on a blended learning. Each round includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection, problems, solutions and strategies ,and solve the existing problems of this round of research and basing on the reflection of this round ,make plans for the next round of research in order to improve the quality of teaching.Practice shows that blended learning is a good optimization for actual teaching, it can effectively promote students'self-learning and improve their ability and achievement. It also educates the children in the fields of collecting and processing information and improves their quality in dealing with the information. However, at present blended learning is a new teaching idea, and implementing blended learning will meet a number of difficulties. It needs not only the theoretical guidance of experts, but also the broad exchange between teachers. Teachers are required to carry out innovative experiments, and it is more important to need self-learners to take the initiative to carry out construction of meaning.
