A Study On The Exercises In Chinese Class Of Secondary Vocational Schools Pointing To Language Practice

The present language practice in second vocational school is not optimistic,and the developing of language practice in vocational school falls far short of the requirements fixed by the syllabus.It is not favorable for vocational students' Chinese application ability improvement and their career development.According to the requirements fixed by the syllabus,language practice is a high priority for vocational students' Chinese.How to effectively carry out the language practice becomes a hotspot in current Chinese of vocational school.This paper proposed that reform of Chinese textbooks creates a favorable condition for development of language practice,and the exercises in the textbook is where to make a break through.This paper is based on the analysis of the exercises in secondary vocational Chinese textbooks published by Higher Education Press,finding out the excessive textbook exercises is without clear direction and emphases;varied texting that compiled disorderly;lack of formative evaluation criteria,etc.After the research on the textbook exercises,we found that it difficult to teach in practice with them,which are widely unaccepted and devoid of direction.Based on theory study,textbook analysis and practical research,we shall combine the innovative teaching ideas with the practical Chinese teachings in secondary vocational school and explore the strategy to develop the speech practice with the textbook exercises effectively,which means to understand the outline properly and avoid dogmatism;optimize the textbooks to arrange them reasonably;utilize the textbooks to design the exercises elaborately.Through the analysis and investigation of exercise following the text,the paper finds the problems and analyzes the reasons to cause the problems.On this basis,combining closely with the new teaching idea and the practice of Chinese teaching in secondary vocational schools,the paper explores strategies to carry out language practice effectively with the use of exercises following the texts.The paper is mainly divided into four aspects:The first part is introduction mainly discusses the background,significance,definition of key words,literature review and research methods of the paper.The second part analyzes the characteristics of exercises after the text from the following four aspects: quantity,distribution,questions types and ways of evaluation.It finds that the characteristics of exercises following the text are mainly too many,Their distribution is too uniform;The type of questions is mainly based on text comprehension,also,including knowledgeaccumulation,language application and other types of questions;The way of evaluation is based on standard answer,lacking of formative evaluation.The third part finds that teachers and students have lower recognition of exercises following the texts collectively through the investigation of them.They think that the number of comprehension questions is too large,the language application questions are too difficult and lack of guidance,especially,students are more resistant to language application questions.The main reason is the deviation of idea,the defect of design and the rigidity of teaching.On the basis of the above parts,the fourth part attempts to propose strategies to enhance the language practical function of exercises following the texts: it needs to understand the outline spirit and avoid dogmatism in concept;As for the arrangement of exercises following the texts,it should optimize the layout,balance the question types,strengthen the guidance,provide examples,and refine the evaluation.In terms of using,teachers should give full play to their subjective initiative and make use of exercises following the texts to do exquisite design.
