Research On The Construction And Management Of College Students' Sports Associations

The students’ physical education association is a certain choice for the face of physical education and the development of students. Since 1980s, "Association Revolution" has been flouring in China’s colleges and universities. The spirit of fairness friendship and competition reflected in the P.E Association is particularly popular among all the students. Therefore, there are an increasing number of P.E. associations springing up geometrically. However, with the surprising booming speed, there appears at the same time some side effects, such as chaos in order, difficult in management etc. How to strengthen the corrstruction and management in order to reach the aim of "providing support, service and proper management"?Based on the above reasons, this study focus on several colleges and universities in Hunan province, and tries to sort out and sum up their P.E associations in colleges and universities.The principal ways of study include: the method of checking references and materials, the survey method, data statistics method, inductive and deductive method, etc.The main conclusions are as follows: (1) The present organizing and managing pattern of the P.E associations in colleges and universities in Hunan is the so-called "one body, two wings" mechanism, which is fairly reasonable. And the PE associations maintain in a fine situation, most of which are in a stage of rapid and steady development. Along with the main activities such as training and matches, there are various of other games such as lectures, friendship parties between parties and the intercollegiate contests and so on. All these activities enrich the culture of the association. However, there are only few programs for public welfare. (2)Students’ associations satify the demand of the members by organizing activities. And they keep the internal and external promise as well as the building of the good public faith through the environment and atmosphere created by all the activities and through the harmonious cooperation and self-discipline of the members. But the construction of the information net doesn’t keep pace as needed. Lack of fund is the most serious problem which the PE associations confront. (3)At present the students’ PE association is a new type of "Learning Organization" rather than a simple "Activity Group". The former has bridged the gap between the classroom education and practical activities, and thus to link the school education and the social education. However, there is still a long way to go to set up a credit-system in which the PE association acts as a medium. (4)Although the PE association in colleges and universities develop increasingly fast, there are still some problems in the construction and management, such as lack of rules and regulations, the imperfection of the managing system, loss of members resulting in the enormous adulatory property, great differences in the quality among the leaders’, and lack of fun and places for activates and so on and so forth. There fore, externally, we must set up a set of policies for all levels, strengthen the mechanical construction and management; internally, we must strengthen the organization of the structure, the human resources and financial affairs etc.
