The new round of curriculum reform has promoted the development of mathematics education.The purpose of this paper aims to research a key point,which promotes the progress of mathematics education—the textbook analysis.The author takes the A Version Textbooks of the People Education Press(Compulsory 1)as an object for research,this article uses the literature analysis, questionnaires, interviews and other research methods.First of all,the paper studies the great significance of teaching material analysis through the request of new curriculum,teachers’ professional development,classroom teaching.Then teaching material analysis have been done in detail according to hereinafter steps:structure of knowledge — — function of education — —analysis of textbook exercises.The following conclusions were obtained by adopting the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis:Firstly,the textbook pays attention to the educational function.mathematics thoughts and methods were permeated in the teaching material.the textbook attaches great importance to the background of knowledge,the infiltration of mathematics culture,advocate of the information technology.Secondly,in the aspect of exercise sets,the subject of basic, openness and background information were reflected.Thirdly, the use of the quantitative model of course difficulty is designed to analysis the consistency between teaching material and curriculum standard,the result shows that the material and the curriculum standard keeps a higher consistency. Fourthly,the questionnaire survey has been made to the students.It shows students have higher perception in the teaching material, on the other hand, there exists differences of understanding among different levels of students.
