In recent years, with the rapidly development of China's economic, the process of urbanization increase quickly, and the scale of cities have been expanding. The population of many major cities showes rapidly growth trends, especially in central area of a city, population and function has over-concentrated.This cause a series of "urban disease",like the deterioration of the environment and traffic congestion. The emergence of so many problems shows that "mono-center" of urban spatial development plans have been unable to meet the needs of future urban spatial development, this situation needs to change immediately. The key point of solving the spread of metropolitan space disorder is dispersing the central city's population and industrial through the establishment of a "multi-center+metro" form.In this paper, take Beijing as the research object, uses the method of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to research the population and function dispersal in the central area of Beijing.First, through read a large number of yearbooks and government planning, conducted a comprehensive analysis of the population and functional status in the central area of Beijing, after compared Beijing with the big cities of the world, finding out that the population in central area of Beijing is overcrowding. Secondly, research the power of population and functional dispersal in central area of Beijing, and make an in-depth study of the actual situation of Beijing. Finally, use the successful experiences of foreign developed citys for reference to give some suggestions to Beijing. Hope that through constructive the new urban spatial structure of multi-center+Metro" to disperse the over-concentrated population and industry in the central city to the New Town.so as to solve the traffic and environmental problems that caused by the excessive pressure in central city.
