Mathematics is one of the compulsory basic courses to every high school student.But many students find it hard to study mathematics and they can not make the new mathematical knowledge with the old. As a result,they could not reach the "new curriculum standards" requirements and become mathematics-learning-difficulties students. Due to lack of motivation and learning perseverance, a considerable number of students begin to have poor motivation and difficulties with math learning.Since the late1890s, Western scholars launched a research on students with learning difficulties in a physiological level. It had been attracting much concern about students with learning difficulties since the1960s, replacing the psychological research mode to physiological ones. For the past two decades, many of our scholars made a lot of research work in this regard.We took the survey research, case and reflection experimental research methods, focusing on the causes and the transformation of the spontaneity of high school students with mathematics learning difficulties. Here are the following conclusions:(1) According to the findings and analyses of the poor-motivation students with mathematics learning difficulties,in the their learning process, they generally performed as follows:due to the lack value of mathematical knowledge,their purpose is not clear and they have low interest in learning and unclear learning objectives. So when faced with difficulties, students would give up the learning process.(2)According to the high school mathematics teacher and teacher interviews,we found that the poor-motivation mathematics students with learning difficulties are mainly divided into two categories:The first is caused by lack of motivation. The purpose of such students to learn is not clear. They lack of their own needs in mathematics, as a result they feel tired of math, fear math problems, losing the exploration spirit. The second is caused by the lack of learning perseverance, such students can not adhere to the preparation, review, and can not independently complete assignments on time. They can not understand what they are studing so they can not concentrate in class. More than just ideals that rarely put into action.They fear the difficulties withdrawal and lacking anti-interference ability.Through case studies, here are some strategies:Lack of motivation. We should taking ideal education,combined with the books’ knowledge. Followed by the emphasis on external factors in the students learn the role of motivation. Lack of learning perseverance. First, we must set an example for students, clearing the purpose of learning, and create difficult situations for students to hone students’perseverance, and finally develop good study habits to promote the enhancement of learning perseverance. Problems in learning motivation and learning perseverance comprehensive initiative deviation the number of trapped students should adhere to the ideal of education to adopt appropriate strategies for the culture of learning motivation and learning perseverance. No matter which type of poor-motivation students are, teachers should look squarely at students’ individual differences, make sure that students be in a certainly dominating position in the classroom, change their teaching concepts.
