Throughout a series of changes have taken place in domestic higher education system in China, we can find that the country’s higher education compared with the needs of international and domestic economic development seem to be inadaptated. Adult higher education as an important part of higher education, which having making a remarkable contribution for the social and economic development since the reform and opening. But the adult higher education lacks pertience in the process of education, curriculum and teaching, ways and methods,and its general education tends to be serious. From the demands of social development and the history of development of adult higher colleges, how to promote the quality of talent training, and how to relize the transformation of the general education trend from pure imitation of higher education into the highlighted adult education,which become a serious problem in front of the adult higther colleges.This paper is based on adult higher education as the research object, which through having a interview with related department of colleges, investigating the student’s questionnaires and collecting related literature data. It analysis of the present situation and s existing problems of China’s adult higher education, and points out the necessity and the innovationof the development and reform. Thus making a better way to introduce the "learning by doing" of CDIO training mode. CDIO representative idea (Con-ceive), Design (Design) and implementation (Implement), operation (Operate). As the carrier, the product’s life cycle from research to operation, which lets the student study in organic connection among active, practice, and course. By comparing the CDIO education mode and adult higher education talent training mode in our country, to sum the common point between them:higher training concepts and training objectives, or implementation and curriculum construction, they all have in common. And the sametime, this paper analysis the feasibility of CDIO mode applied in adult higher education conducted. Based on it, to designe an adult higher education talent training mode based on CDIO education, which from the training concept, ability and professional standards.CDIO is a new education mode, and has the short history. It has achieved initial results with its vitality, but in the process of implementing,there is a large number of theoretical and practical problem to be further research and development. This paper prospects to establish the adult higher education by studying the implementation of the idea of CDIO mode. To introduce CDIO education idea in adult higher education,will be a bold exploration for the further development, and will play a positive role in the development of our country’s adult higher education.
