Qualified engineers should be engineering talents with professional ability and political integrity, grasping specialized skills and utilizing technical means to transform the world; furthermore, ethics and morals are their root which ask for them to hold this world from good. However,as a vital part in present-day society, engineers are often criticized and oppugned; although some engineers they are possessed of accomplished skills and adept business, but they are pressed for compassionate care, anthropocentrism and ethics. They are perfunctory in design, negligence in management, shoddy in construction and unscrupulous in monitoring. That is, therefore, the weakness of the ethical consciousness of main engineers in engineering activities is the key of deep-seated causes of the engineering accidences in the current era.Once the engineer has no moral or ignores ethical, it will brew engineering disaster, therefore, how to attach importance to ethics is the significant problem to engineering education; because high-level engineering education is to cultivate the cradle of modern engineers as well as bear the mission of training qualified engineers. Thus, we place our vision in this particular field-high-level engineering education-to review and analysis, and find that reasons to lack of the ethical quality of the engineers are:in the value orientation, advocating utilitarian, meanwhile, diluting human nature; in training objectives, more emphasis on talent, less on moral; in the curriculum, emphasizing professional courses and neglecting humanities courses; in the moral education, more instilling, less inspiring and deviating from the engineering practice. Well then, how to resolve these problems, how to implement education for all-around development to engineering students in high-level engineering education, strengthen the training of the ethical quality thereby changing the status quo that engineers are away from humanity and ignore the ethical, we propose the following ideas about the reform:instilling the concept"good"throughout the whole high-level engineering education; in the training goals, focusing on all-around development, highlighting the"good"of personality, promoting harmony and unity; in value orientation, educating students and lead them to find their conscience and understand that good is a man's own well-being and development; in the content of the core, based on the just and harmony, establishing the good ethical self-regulatory mechanism to enable students to consciously take their self-responsibility; in teaching practice, stipulating the"good"ethical value judgment from the teaching content, teaching methods and evaluation methods, which makes students act in accordance with good standards of human-being.
