In the twenty-first century, mankind entered the information age, in which education is moving towards information and modernization. Modern educational tools based on network technology, multimedia technology have emerged and been widely used. Network course is an important type of educational resources, while the design and organization of teaching contents is one of the key factors that affect the quality of the network course.In the traditional teaching activities, teachers teach knowledge points one by one, and learners learn knowledge points one by one. Learners hold the knowledge points as the unit to learn knowledge. Similarly, in the network course, knowledge points are also the basic unit of the organization and delivery of the information. In the design of network course, the design of teaching contents, especially the organization and arrangement of knowledge points affect the quality of learning by the network course.This thesis researches the monographs and papers, which are about knowledge, knowledge points and the design of teaching contents in the network course. The thesis introduced briefly the knowledge classification learning theory, the characterization and learning process of different types of knowledge points and the learning strategies in the classroom teaching. And it analyses the current situation of the design of knowledge points in various network courses by several cases. According to the learning strategies of traditional teaching for different types of knowledge points and the characteristics of the network, this thesis designed the knowledge points' module to organize and arrange knowledge points appropriately in the network course. After this design, through the computer technology, the knowledge points' module of one network course "Based Application of computer" is produced. Learners in such a knowledge points' module can acquire new knowledge points easily and effectively, consolidate old knowledge points, promote the contact of the new and the old knowledge points. That will help learners connect the knowledge points by a certain order so as to master the knowledge of a course, which this approach to learning truly achieves learning by oneself.
