The Design And Application Of Bonus Points System In Online Learning

Some online learning platforms face problems,such as low durative utilization,passive students,huge amount of tutor tasks and so on.Concerning effectiveness of bonus points and consciousness of bonus points in several online learning platforms,this paper addresses that bonus points can advance online learners’ enthusiasm and online learning platforms’ sustained utilization,bases on process evaluation theory,performance theory and quantitative concept.This paper uses literature method,observation method,Delphi method,action research method,case study method and interview method in the process of research.Firstly,this paper summarizes the definition and characteristics of bonus points in online learning environment,and establishes a model of bonus points system in online learning.Moreover,concerning two different dimensions,participation degree dimension and learning effect dimension,the paper summarizes the bonus point items,makes an appropriate assignment on bonus point,depending on the how much they impact on online learners.In addition,to develop software of bonus points system in online learning,the paper uses PHP,Apache HTTP Server 2.2.22 and SQL Server 2005,and classifies bonus points system as user registration,user login,the wizard,award,deduction and logged out module.Then it puts the bonus points system software into practical use,providing a regular online learning platform to control group and an online learning platform with bonus points system to experimental group.By observing the learning performance of experiencers and their response to bonus points system in online learning,and gathering backstage data from learning platform,the paper tests the functions and effects of bonus points system.
