Teacher-student relationship has been subjected to the attention of scholars in China. As the most basic, most important, and the most active interpersonal relationship in teaching activities.It is not only influence the implementation of teaching activities and teaching objectives, but also have a major impact on the development of students'physical and mental health.But in previous studies, people studied teacher-student relationship only from the perspective of our own country, and ignored the research from comparative angle to seek out the development strategy. On the basis of it, making full use of favorable condition to promote the integration of teacher-student relationship between the two countries.By comparing the Chinese basic education teacher-student relationship with the USA, some important reasons for differences should be found out, which are useful to Chinese teacher-student relationship.This thesis divides into five parts.Part 1:introduction. In this part, the author expounds briefly the meaning, current situation, method and innovation of this research on teacher-student relationship.Part 2:theoretical summary on teacher-student relationship. This part states some theories relate to teacher-student relationship from the points of connotation, human relation theory, development process, influences and characteristics.Part3:the study of result of comparison. This part compares the Chinese basic education teacher-student relationship with the USA from the current situation, specific forms and impact. Then analyzing the difference between the Chinese basic education teacher-student relationship and the USA basic education teacher-student relationship. On the basis of it, comparing the effect factors and reasons which caused difference from macro and micro angles.Part 4:the enlightenments of comparisonThe first one:reform the educational system and expand the autonomy of school.The second one:reform the education and teaching evaluation systemThe third one:some measures are adopted to improve the educational laws.The fourth one:enhance the teachers'training and educating.The fifth one:find out the more defiant teaching mode to match the students'development.The sixth one:enhance the students'initiative to build awareness of good relationship between teachers and students. The seventh one:enhance schools, parents and community's educational efforts.The eighth one:enlarge the interaction with the other countries.Conclusion:building up new teacher-student relationship in China must depend on China's national conditions. On the basis of it, deflowering the essences and fusing the virtues of two countries'basic education teacher-student relationship to promote the cause of China's basic education reform and development.
