Developing civilization and training talents in high quality for the society and economic are the mission for education. Whether a society has a harmonious ideology of teacher-student relationship or not is the foundation based on the society demands to education .The teacher-student relationship is the basic and major relationship through education. The teacher-student relation is not only the core in education process,but also the key to deepening quality education.It influences the transmission of educational information between teachers and students.The result of dealing with this relationship directly influences the effect of education and the realization of training aim in school and concerns students'psychological health and comprehensive development.This paper describes the different ideology of teacher-student relationship between Chinese and Americans to help set a better teacher-student relationship. It consists of four parts.Section 1:The concepts and significance of the ideology of teacher-student relationship are introduced. The developing history of the ideology of teacher-student relationship are expounded.Section 2: The presence and characters of the ideology of teacher-student relationship in China are introduced. The reasons of influencing teacher-student relationship are analyzed.Section 3:The different ideology of teacher-student relationships between Chinese and Americans are compared in the eyes of history and culture, and in the eyes of education factors.
