The information age accelerates the process of globalization, and the modern society requires its citizens armed with higher quality. Learning English helps people with better comprehension, expression, communication, personality, innovative ability, and communication and cooperation spirit. Studying and mastering English is a must for the 21st century non-native English citizens;English education should lead the way to make a substantial contribution. Utilization of game education is a very good teaching strategy.Since English teaching in primary school requires plenty of input (language materials), which emphases the output of language, context and feedback. The features of Educational games can go with English teaching in the primary school, so the introduction of educational games into the elementary school English teaching has its own incomparable advantages.I mainly study deeply from the perspective that the application of educational games in primary school English vocabulary teaching experiment in order to apply it to inspire primary school English teaching.Nowadays,the application of educational games in education field is mainly based on software. We do the experiment for the primary English vocabulary teaching by using educational game that is mainly based on educational game software.This paper is divided into five chapters:the first chapter is the introduction, it mainly introduces the background of educational games research and the application value and potential of education games in the primary English vocabulary education.The present domestic English application situation of the educational games in the primary school and educational game research situation at home and abroad are basically introduced in the second chapter; I analyze the design of the educational game that we chose in the experiment in the third chapter, it embodies constructivism theory and immersion theory by analyzing it,that is why I chose it to do the experiment. The fourth chapter is the main part of this paper,it is basically about the experiment,we get the conclusion that it is feasible and it has notable efficiency for the primary English teaching by using educational game through three rounds of experiments and teaching effect evaluation after the experiment.. The research results and the further research trend and the research of shortcomings are introduced in the fifth chapter.
