Recently, primary school English attracts more attention from teachers and parents, and it has become a compulsory course. But, many problems also exist in primary school, especially, primary school students' lack of interest in English learning. As we all know, it is not easy to simulate students' interest. Therefore, the author tries to explore the feasibility and validity of educational game in primary school. Meanwhile, the author hopes that it can simulate students' interest in English learning and improve their grades.The new curriculum standards of primary school English require us to innovate thought and reform the traditional teaching means. Educational game is a new concept, and is a new teaching means that can be applied to classroom teaching. It conforms to the children's physical and mental development rule and can improve their interest. Its appearance breaks through limitation of the conventional teaching, provides us with a new thought of course reform, moreover, it enriches the theory research on information technology and curriculum integration.The thesis is made up of five chapters.Chapter one introduces the current situation of Educational game in primary school English teaching, which includes the background and purpose and significance of the study. After analyzing the background of Educational game, the author puts forward the purpose and significance of the study.Chapter two is the literature review. The first part is to elaborate and analyses the related concept about educational game and its styles and features of educational game. Then, the author introduces the theoretical basis through an extensive literature research. In the end, the author concludes the information of related studies at home and abroad.Chapter three is the model design. The author builds the application model in vocabulary and phonetics teaching by analyzing the primary English curriculum goals, content and subject characteristics, combined with the features of present educational game. In addition, the assisted teaching platform can provide resources, environmental and technical support for teachers and students using educational game.Chapter four is the experiment. The author selects two parallel classes in Xi Jiao primary school in Zhucheng city as the research object. One is experimental class and another is control class. In the control class, the author uses traditional teaching methods, while in experimental class the author uses new methods. After experiment, the author collects related data to analyze the feasibility and validity of educational game through questionnaires and interview.The last chapter is the conclusion and suggestion, in which the author draws the major conclusion, points out the limitations of the study and puts forwards the suggestions for further research.
