"Building a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society" has been firstly proposed by Comrade Hu Jin-tao in the Fifth Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It also has been identified as a strategic task of the long-term economic and social development plan by the central government, and been defined as a basic national policy in the Proposals on the 11th Five-year Plan for National Economic and Social Development Made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The construction of the resource-conserving and environment-friendly society, whose core and main task is environmental protection, makes a higher demand for ecology-morality. In order to build the resource-conserving and environment-friendly society , we can formulate policies, make laws, adjust industrial structure, change consumption concept, give publicity or carry out education and so on, among which carrying out ecology-morality education is most important. Although the ecology-morality education has come to be conducted, it still can not meet the needs of the construction of the resource-conserving and environment-friendly society. Therefore, the thesis focuses on the study of the ecology-morality education in the universities. It has three main contents.Firstly, the author described that industrial revolution caused serious waste of resources and environmental pollution although it also brought people great material wealth, economic demand. So the author pointed out the importance of the construction of the resource-conserving and environment-friendly society, and its connotation, main goals and tasks, based on which the author discussed the relationship between ecology-morality education in universities and it; Secondly, followed by questionnaire, the author got and analyzed rationally the information about the college students'standpoint of the construction of the resource-conserving and environment-friendly society and the ecology-morality, the status of ecology-moral behaviors, and the main factors that will influence the college students'ecology-morality and relative behaviors. Then the author tried to discover the existing problems, in order to find reality basis of reasonable methods and contents on ecology-morality education, which meet the characteristics of college students.Thirdly, the author determined the aims, contents, methods and mechanism of the ecology-morality education in universities with the background of the construction of the resource-conserving and environment-friendly society and the students'understand level. The aims conclude two sides, one is to protect environment, the other is to improve people's ecological awareness. The contents is to bring ecology-morality education into recent morality education system of universities, whose main idea is to strengthen the ecological ethics and awareness education, cultivate students'eco-environmental values, nurture ecological and moral emotion, and to teach students develop good eco-moral behaviors. The methods conclude theoretical education, influence by the environment,training of practice and so on,with which college students can improve understanding and behaviors of ecological morality,and can better serve the construction of the resource-conserving and environment-friendly society...
