With the development of multimedia and network technology, we can convenientlytransmit digital media products via networks. However, since copies of digital productsdo not bring low quality, a large amount of piracy come out to greatly damage theauthors' profits. An approach of copyright protection is strongly needed in market ofdigital products. Being as an effective way of protecting copyright, the digitalwatermarking becomes hot in the area of multimedia security. On the other hand,JPEG2000, the new generation of standard in still image compression recommended byISO, has its wide application horizon because of its high performance. After years ofdevelopment, the watermarking algorithm is going to practical application stage. Butthere is few watermarking scheme that combined with specific image coding/decodingsystem. The research object of this thesis is to make a combination betweenwatermarking algorithm and JPEG2000 encoding/decoding system, design and realizethe watermarking scheme, of which the detail work is shown below:First, an introduction of digital watermarking's basic theory is given. Then theadvantages and disadvantages of current watermarking algorithms as well as theirapplication fields will be discussed. A bit-embed based watermarking scheme isdesigned based on full consideration of the character of JPEG2000 encoding/decodingsystem and its requisite to watermarking. This easily applied scheme can solve thetransmit problem from watermarking embedding parameters to decoding side properly.In addition, it has the character of comparably independency that has little effect withthe JPEG2000 encoding/decoding system. At last, the test bed is realized to test theeffectiveness of the scheme. Experiments indicate that bit-embed based watermarkingscheme has its own advantages and good robustness.
