A Study On The Leading Role Of Qingdao In The Blue Economic Zone Of Shandong Peninsula

As the central city of Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, Qingdao has advantages to a certain extent compared to the other cities,while these advantages are not so obvious.How and from which aspect to expand the advantages and make up the weaknesses is not only important to the development of Qingdao, but also crucial to the development of Blue Economic Zone.First of all,this paper summarizes the research frame of urban agglomeration,central city and regional cooperation theory.Then,From the perspective of law of primate city,using principal component analysis and cluster analysis,measures the primate city index and the score classification of cities in Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone during 2004 and 2013.In the end, it can be sure that Qingdao is the primate city in the Blue Economic Zone through the empirical analysis.However,The results show that,there is a great gap between the primate index of Qingdao and the reasonable index standard.this is bad for Qingdao to play the leading role in the development of Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, especially at the early stages of development.In order to solve the problems,this paper offers specific recommendations in macroeconomic terms of scale,industry and urban function.
