An Analysis Of Industrial Agglomeration And Spillover Effects Based On FDI

With the global economic integration, FDI clusters and spillover effects has a huge impact on the economy of the host country.China, as a developing country, since the reform and opening up has made great achievementsin FDI.Through the introduction of foreign capital, we take advantage of foreign technology spillover effect to continuously upgrade our technological level and management philosophy. In recent years, more and more domestic and foreign scholars carried out relevant researchon FDI spillovers.For the phenomenon of FDI industrial clusters in Suzhou Industrial Park, in this paper, FDI industry clusters and FDI spillover effects within this park were analyzed.Firstly, this paper reviews the domestic and foreign knowledge of industry cluster and the study of the relevant literature in the FDI spillovers field. We introduced the related concepts about industry cluster and FDI industrial clusters,at the same time,we introducedchannels which generatespillover effects and empirical research about spillover effects.In the part of empirical research about spillover effects,firstly,we provides an overview of the general situation of FDI industrial clusters and it’s spillover effects of the Suzhou Industrial Park, including the characteristics and extent of industrial clusters, the cluster effect, industrial measurement and spillover effects; Then, combined with the theory and the specific situation of Suzhou industrial park, we propose our hypothesis in this study; Finally,with thequestionnaire results of foreign-funded enterprises in Suzhou Industrial Park FDI clusters, we make the empirical analysis about channels which generatespillover effects and the influencing factors. We also make recommendations accordingly, and finally point out the lack of research.
