Research On Medical Insurance Of College Students

The health of Chinese college students is related not only to their own development, but also more to the ups and downs of China.With the gradual improvement and continual development of the college students’ medical insurance system, this thesis systematically looks back to the reform history of it and analyses the advantages and disadvantages the medical insurance pattern at each reform stage.Combining with related research data, five conclusions are drawn after doing research among five colleges in Inner Mongolia and getting to know the popularization of college students’medical insurance:(t)Those college students have a little knowledge of insurance policy and a weak awareness of insurance. Thus, there is the low insurance rate. (2)Some college students haven’t recognition of medical insurance such as its proportion of claims, the items, the maximum and the procedure of transferring treatment. (3)There is health hazard among some college students who have a weak consciousness of self-medical care.(4)College students usually choose the clinic on campus or university hospital to seek medical assistance but they couldn’t be fully satisfied due to the backward equipment and the low level of diagnosis and treatment.(5)Logistic Regression Analysis shows that the factors are as follows when college students actively join insurance:The improvement of medical cares its policy, medical expense at their own and the consciousness of self-medical care.Meanwhile, the weaknesses are found when the medical insurance policies are implemented among the five colleges in Inner Mongolia:Colleges are not active enough to carry out the policy and invest too little into it; College students have a weak awareness of insurance and are passive in joining insurance; College hospitals have limited medical conditions to meet the needs of students’regular medical care; Some college students are not concerned about physical and mental health of themselves.Aimed at the problems above, the thesis gives some advices and measures in order to improve the college students’insurance system:further specify the responsibilities of the local government and pour more money into it; adjust and improve the college student’s medical insurance policy; increase the colleges students’ medical supply needs; promote the reform of university hospital and improve its service; guide the college students to set scientific consciousness of medical insurance and have correct health conceptions; establish different levels of college students’ medical insurance system.
