Research On DP Logistics Company 's Informatization Strategy Management From The Perspective Of Whole Process

Nowadays, with the acceleration of economic globalization and informatization, traditional logistics industry cannot meet the increasing demands of enterprises and so requires a transition to modern logistics industry. Logistics enterprises are fundamental to the logistics industry. Informatization plays a crucial part in their sustainable development. Currently, due to the development of informatization of logistics enterprises, the scale of informatization is expanding and investment ratio increasing. Can enterprises have returns of informatization investment? Does informatization improve the productivity of enterprises, repay their investment and increase their competitiveness? Those are concerns of enterpreneurs. Current research achievements reveal that utility evaluation of informatization of logistics enterprises helps companies understand the value of informatization and figure out the problems existing in informatization construction. Competitiveness of logistics enterprises can be promoted when enterprises well organized the planning and implementation of informatization strategy. However, those researches neglect the value of managing informatization strategy in the whole process.This thesis takes DP logistics companies as an example. Through comprehensive analysis of management of informatization strategy, informatization contribution level of those companies is found to be low and related policy suggestions are presented to solve the problems existing currently. First, this thesis analyzes the research and development of logistics informatization both at home and abroad, and points out problems remaining in logistics informatization at home. Two similar concepts, namely contribution evaluation and performance evaluation, are to be distinguished. And importance of contribution evaluation of logistics informatization is to be underlined. Then by applying Michael E. Porter’s industry competition theory, this thesis analyzes and demonstrates the internal and external environment DP logistics companies are in, and then makes evaluations as well as choices about the informatization strategy based on the SWOT matrix. Last, after elaborating the status quo of logistics informatization strategy of DP logistics companies, this thesis establishes an index system of DP logistics companies’ informatization contribution by using balanced scorecard, creates a model of contribution evaluation of informatization through Analytic Hierarchy Process, and evaluates DP logistics companies’ informatization. After that, it points out main problems in the carrying out logistics informatization strategy and puts forward policy suggestions accordingly. In doing so, it offers reference for the development of DP logistics companies’ informatization construction as well as for the informatization strategy management of other logistics enterprises.
