Training management is an important subject of modern enterprise human resource management. Compared with traditional training systems, training system based on competency model can train and develop employees according to key competency elements, which can effectively increase the stock of human capital, improve human capital capacity and plays a key role in the development activities of human resource. Middle-level managers in an enterprise are the mainstays of the enterprise operation, and the core competency that middle-level managers equip with is the prominent expression of an enterprise’ competition advantages. To build a training system which is targeted at middle-level managers and based on competency model can not only save a large number of time costs and materials costs, but also quickly improve middle-level managers’ performance ability and the adaptability to enterprise future development and even greatly enhance the enterprise core competitiveness.This thesis is composed of five parts. The first part introduces the research background, significance, contents, methods and the thesis framework; the second part systemizes existing literatures of related theories and proposes the methods to build a competency model as well as the features of training system based on competency model; aiming at the current situation of the training system of middle-level managers in A company, the third part analyzes existing problems and then puts forward the significance of building a training system for middle-level managers in A company based on competency model; the fourth part adopts behavioral event interview(BEI) method, questionnaire method and benchmarking method and so on to elaborate the building steps of the competency model for middle-level managers in A company. Then the thesis utilizes the competency model to carry out training demand analysis, training plan formation, training implementation design and training effect evaluation and builds a whole set of training system for middle-level managers in A company; the fifth part summarizes the comprehensive discussion aforementioned and proposes the innovation points and deficiencies of the discussion.To sum up, the research finding of this thesis is the construction of the competency model of middle-level managers of A company through the empirical researches of building competency model. On this basis, a set of complete training system is built as to guarantee person-post matching and person-enterprise matching, thus reducing the loss and waste of middle-level managers and providing practical significance to enterprise’s strategic development. Aiming at every competency element, this thesis also conducts definition and behavioral evaluation, which offers some thoughts to the company’s human resource management mode based on competency model and certain reference significance to other relevant enterprises’ applying competency model in training activities.
