In recent years, the competition of Chinese retail industry is so fierce. The rapidly expanding geographical penetration, rich format, chain enterprises development have arisen the wave of concern on retail industry. This industry is unquestionably to be one of the most competitive industries with the fastest changes, the highest degree of marketization in recent years. The competition of talents has met the superheating phenomenon and the shortage of senior talents with rich retail management experience has become an indisputable fact in retail field. It determines whether enterprise could remain invincible in the competition in the future by talents proper selection, effective training and reasonable using.Enterprise is starved for talent currently. Development and cultivation of talents’ team in enterprise, especially for the senior talent, research on potential problems, art of innovation and solutions, will devote to resolve problems and difficulties for rapid development of enterprise, promoting the development of enterprises and even the whole society absolutely.In this paper it makes an analysis of related advanced theory on talent training, combined with the actual case of GE ltd to do investigation and research on its internal senior talent training. The purpose is to pay attention to enterprise senior talent training, helping to find scientific and feasible methods and tools, establishing human resource management mechanism for talent identification, assessment, employment, training, promotion and salary adjustment, speeding up senior talent training schedule, improving problems of aging, poached, too rapid promotion and other issues for talents, driving the chain of development and performance for enterprise accordingly.In this paper it firstly introduces that, under the background of retail industry, defining the concept of talent, talent training etc. Showing the connotation of talent training system, mode of talent training. Secondly, GE ltd. its retail industry’s characteristics and development trend, characteristics of senior talents in retail industry, company profile and development prospect are on explanation and analysis.Then it introduces the present situation of talent training system in GE ltd. Analyzing on the problems and its causes. Finally, it puts forward the scheme and implementation of senior talent training system optimization of GE ltd. And to verify effect of implementation, in order to solve the problems in senior talent training system and make optimization.
