In this era of knowledge-based economy, the primitive force that control the world economy's development is no longer the material capital, but the knowledge carriers, the people, especially the qualified management professionals, who have become the ultimate decisive factors for the enterprise to win in the business competitions and the most direct creator of the excess profits by the enterprise. The training and selection of the senior management level directly affects the achievement and efficiency of the enterprise, and hence is vital to the enterprise's growth.Nowadays, foreign companies have incorporated the training and development of professionals into their key development programming. They employ large quantities of manpower and material resources in the research and exploration of the relative theories. By contrast, at their trial stage in this field, our domestic companies lack systematic research and analysis. Plus imperfect development of the management market, the mechanism in which the enterprises improve the governance structure and speed the growth by managing the candidates through marketed allocation is restrained. There is a gap in the production, assessment and training of the senior management professionals between the practices by domestic and international enterprises. Therefore, in order to be more internationally competitive and create a "Hundred-Year Old Brand", we need to reinforce the research on training and selection of senior management professionals in the enterprises, to develop a method and mechanism in line with the domestic status quo of developing senior management professionals and to secure sufficient talents for the fast development of the domestic enterprises.This thesis centers on the development of the senior management professionals in the domestic enterprises. From the view of the practical meaning of analysis of this field, with necessity research on training and selection of senior management professionals and comparison of the current situation and gap between China and foreign countries, this thesis describes the process of how the enterprises select high-quality management professionals and train them for future leading roles. In addition, with the case of development programming of senior management professionals for Tianjin Pacific Pharmaceutical Group, the author effectively demonstrates and practices the relevant method and mechanism of personnel training and selection, providing theoretic and applicable materials for research on the senior management professionals in domestic enterprises.
