With the rapid development of China’s national economy, China’s income continue to improve, the demand of car is growing, so more and more automobile enterprises come to China, and competition is becoming increasingly fierce, in order to improve competitiveness, on the one hand through the car upgrading and expansion to win customers’favor, on the other hand, by reducing costs to improve profit margins.Mixed-line production is demanded because of the car upgrading and expansion, and the line inventory is the bottleneck of the automobile production logistics, pull production and reasonable warehouse planning can be used to resolve bottleneck. Simultaneously, the logistics cost is covered in daily operations, and the cost can be reduced by reasonable warehouse planning and efficient operation. Assembly production involves thousands of parts, so logistics activities are very complex, the assembly logistics warehouse plays an important role in balancing supply and demand. However, the Assembly warehouse planning of the automobile enterprises is still dependent on the accumulation of experience, which is lack of theoretical guidance, and it will leads to the unreasonable phenomenon which affects the operation efficiency.In order to enhance the competitiveness, Geely was start to strategic transformation, plan the platform of production, in recent years Geely focused on research and development. In order to cooperate with the production, the demand of logistics warehouse planning is more and more urgent. This article is aimed at this problem, take the X factory Assembly warehouse planning as the research object, propose the content and process of the Assembly warehouse planning, establish the calculation model of the Assembly warehouse planning. Hoped that the research results can be used for construction of other new plants. The research content of this paper includes: First, with the growth of the automobile market and the change of automobile consumption concept, competition in the automotive industry has gradually increased, so the lean production has been used to improve the competition of auto-company. Warehousing is no longer a non-value-added process, but plays an important role in the lean production.Second, describe the contents and the influencing factors of the logistics warehouse planning in the automobile manufacturing.Third, take Geely X factory as an example, realize the relationship between the theory and the practice of the assembly warehouse, and the layout planning of the X factory is carried out by using the SLP system layout planning method. Provide support for the planning of the automobile assembly warehouse.
