In 2015,China’s foreign direct investment is 118.02 billion US dollars which is the most in the history,this number is more than the one of 2014 by 14.7%.China’s foreign direct investment is growing in the past thirteen years. China is not only a country where large foreign investment flows into, but also the world’s third largest foreign investor. Tourism which is known as the "smokeless industry" is in an important and special position in the period of China’s industrial structure adjustment. With the continued growth of China’s foreign investment, research on multinational investment of domestic tourism enterprises will be good for relieving over-exploitation of domestic tourism resources and widening profit margins. Malaysia is one of the countries from Southeast Asia which develop tourism earlier. Malaysia’s tourism is in the period of maturation. It is because of Malaysia’s rich tourism resources, political stability, developed transportation, modern information network. The Chinese government is vigorously promoting the national strategy of “the Belt and Road”. Malaysia which is one of the most important countries of "the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road" have the best strategic position. So Malaysia is one of the best choice for domestic tourism enterprises to invest in.Yunnan Province is the sentinel for Southeast Asian countries. Yunnan Province and Southeast Asian countries come together to form the Pacific tourist areas in Southeast Asia. Research on multinational investment of Yunnan Province’ tourism enterprises in Southeast Asian not only gets rid of the plight of growth, but also provides a theoretical basis and experience of international management for domestic tourism enterprises.Firstly the author introduces the background and significance of the study and the tourism industry of Malaysia and the present situation of Chinese tourists entering Malaysia. Secondly the author introduces level evaluation method, then applies level evaluation method from the political stability, external capital, foreign equity, discrimination and controls, currency stability, the will of the tariff protection, local capital supply capacity and five nearly years of inflation eight aspects details assessment to evaluate the tourism investment environment of Malaysia. Then the author analyzes advantages of the hotel enterprise of Yunnan to invest in Malaysia. And I do a detailed comparison of the strength between Yunnan hotel enterprise and operating in Malaysia international hotel group in order to analyze the weaknesses. I use the method of linear regression analysis to analyze foreign-star hotel in the city’s location choice of Malaysia and its influencing factors of relationship. Then I give suggestions to Yunnan hotel enterprises for selecting city locations. I introduce cross-border business models and they factors, then I research on cross-border business models for Yunnan hotel enterprises investing in Malaysia from investing in green, cross-border mergers, output management, franchising four aspects, then give the suggestions of choosing. In the end, in the process of investing into Malaysia, I give some suggestions about talent development, brand building, network construction and strategic alliance to Yunnan hotel enterprises.
