Research On The Development Of Farmers' Cooperatives In China Under The Background Of E - Commerce

A cooperative(also known as co-op, cooperative or coop) is an autonomous association of underprivileged people who unite voluntarily to improve the quality of their life and change their social status. It has a history of more than 170 years since the first considered successful cooperative enterprise, Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers was founded in 1844. The farmer cooperatives in our country have made brilliant achievements in their history. After the founding of new China, our party has led the farmers to carry out a series of cooperative movements. The farmer cooperatives have made outstanding achievements in the implementation of the national economic development strategy, and promoting urban and rural economic prosperity etc. But as China underwent a transformation from the planned economy to the socialist market economic system, the growth of farmers’ cooperatives tailed off because of its scattered production and management, low popularization of science and technology, weak market competition power,and difficult implementation of large-scale production modes of agricultural machines etc.There have been a variety of cooperative economic theories in the long run of history, but long-term historical practice proves Marx and Engels’ s cooperative economic theory has left the most profound influence on the agricultural cooperative economy in the course of its development. The Marxism agricultural cooperation economic theory came into being based on critically inheriting the utopian socialism thoughts of cooperation, and the agricultural cooperation thoughts of Mao Zedong, Lenin etc. can be traced to the same origin, which effectively guides the agricultural cooperative movement of socialist countries. The agricultural cooperation thoughts of China now is also the inheritance and development of Marxist agricultural cooperation theory. At the present stage, China’s agriculture is in the transition period from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, and Marx’s cooperative economic theory includes the methods of agricultural transformation. So based on Marxist economic theory, it has important research significance to grasp the development of e-commerce technology, to make the farmer cooperatives following the requirements of market economy system, to grasp the objective laws of socialist economy development, and to play the role of e-commerce in the development of farmer cooperatives.Under the guidance of the theory of Marxist farmer cooperatives, this article focuses on the analysis of the the innovation and development of farmer cooperatives under the background of the development of e-commerce business, and puts forward suggestions and countermeasures to develop farmer cooperatives based on e-commerce business. Firstly, this article shows some studies and reviews of the relevant theories of farmer cooperatives, Marxism farmer cooperatives theory and the theory of electronic commerce. Then it introduces the characteristics of farmercooperatives in foreign countries, the development model and status of the developed countries,summarizes the successful experience of their development, and analyzes the general significance of the innovation and development of China’s farmer cooperatives. Afterwards, it analyzes the tangled historical evolution and development status of Chinese farmer cooperatives,and then puts forward the problems of farmer cooperatives in China which are: rural development environment still needing to be improved, lack of personnel, and the degree of informationization needing to be improved. Adopting empirical analysis methods, and from the point of view of domestic modern agriculture development mode and e-commerce business management mode, it analyzes the advantages, achievements, problems of the cooperatives in developing the agricultural electronic commerce, and the development of the cooperatives in the development of agricultural e-commerce business. Finally, it puts forwards the innovation and development of farmer cooperatives combining the development of electronic commerce with the advantages of cooperatives. In order to develop farmer cooperatives and innovate, China needs to integrate the resources of internet cooperative development, have service systems innovated, introduce and train compound talents in electronic business, establish personnel reserve mechanism, develop competitive advantage of differential network dissimilation, and form cooperatives promotion platform of the suggestions and countermeasures.
