The rapid development of social economy and intense competition for talent makes the career plateau for employee career development process be a necessary step. Under the new business environment, more company use the flat organizational structure, resulting in employee career development is limited, career plateau phenomenon frequently occur, not only affect individual employees working effect, but also affect the performance and long-term development. How to mitigate this phenomenon is an important issue of social scholars and business leaders. Therefore, this article on the basis of domestic and foreign relevant research and employees as samples, career plateau as independent variables, job satisfaction as the dependent variable, investigate the effect of the mechanism between the two. In addition, propose innovative self-efficacy as a moderator to assess regulatory mechanisms of the career plateau and job satisfaction.This paper uses SPSS statistical analysis software, data of 207 valid samples for analysis and calculation, the main conclusions are:first, the staff career plateau and job satisfaction was significantly negatively correlated. Hierarchical plateau, content plateau, centralizing plateau negative effect of job satisfaction; second, self-efficacy play a regulatory role between hierarchical plateau and job satisfaction; and self-efficacy regulates the relationship between centralizing plateau and job satisfaction. That weakens the negative self-efficacy weakens the negative effect between hierarchical plateau, centralizing plateau and job satisfaction。Finally, based on research findings, this paper get the following revelation:First, to provide organizational support to enhance the confidence of employees, enhance employee self-efficacy; secondly, the establishment of a learning organization, improve staff continuous learning and innovation capacity to respond to the job requirements. Finally, in order to alleviate the plight of career plateau, we need to improve the internal operation mechanism and remuneration mechanism of enterprises.
