Before 1945, Thailand railway experienced up to 56 years of development, has achieved good results in the development of railways hardware and railway software.On the political level, economic level and social dimensions of Thailand has play an important role. It laid the material foundationfor the development of post-war Thailand railway. After World War Ⅱ, Thailand’s railway development has experienced 70 years of development course of four stages, namely: reconstruction of the recovery period(1945-1960), the development of the transitional period(1961-1981), the slow development period(1982- 1996) and the development of renaissance(1997-2015). This article first angle middle period summarizes the background of each development stage of development after the war Thailand railway policy characteristics, development process and development effectiveness, build a development context postwar Thailand railway. After, angle long period of post-war development of the Thai railway Four group metrics data econometric analysis.The analysis results showed that post-war development of railway in Thailand before the end of the 1990 s, has maintained a good momentum of development, with great development achievements. However, the impact of foreign cooperation and the importance of uncertainty characteristics.Under the influence of their different characteristics influence postwar Thailand railway development within and outside the force, determining national development needs is sufficient and necessary conditions for postwar Thailand railway development, international cooperation is a sufficient condition for the postwar Thailand railway development, not a necessary condition.From this point on, the Thai railway postwar momentum is presented in order to promote the internal dynamics of the main characteristics of the development, supplemented by external power.
