In September 2013, according to the profound changes in the global situation and coordinating domestic and international trends, our Party Central Committee and State Council proposed the strategy of Promoting and Building 21 st Century Silk Road economic Belt and the Maritime Silk Road(One Belt and One Road). In May 2013 China and India signed <China and India Joint Statement> and jointly initiated to build BCIM Economic Corridor. In March 2015 during his inspection process in Yunnan Province, Chairman Xi Jinping further proposed the hope that Yunnan Province can be built as the radiation center for South Asia and Southeast Asia. By superposition of multiple strategies and with its geographical advantages prominent, it has brought unprecedented opportunities to Yunnan Province, the international energy cooperation of Yunnan Province has also entered a new stage of development. In the process of implementation strategy of “One Belt and One Road” as well as building BCIM Economic Corridor, energy cooperation has defined as pilot project and formed the effect of demonstration and stimulating for its good foundation and background. In order to achieve this target China has already issued or will soon issue a range of support policies to encourage energy companies to go out and participate the construction of “One Belt and One Road” and greatly support Yunnan Province to construct interconnection of Basic Energy Network with its neighboring countries. Yunnan’s enterprises should undertake obligatory commitment of carrying out energy international cooperation with neighboring countries.Electricity is China’s advantageous industries. China’s installed capacity has reached 1.36 billion Kilowatt and ranked No.1 in the world until the end of Year 2014. Quite a lot of countries along the “One Belt and One Road” being developing countries and seriously lacking of electricity, While China has enjoyed a high level in the world in the area of energy equipment, power planning, engineering construction and power plant operations. Energy industries’ strategy of going global not only being able to provide supply of energy to those bordering countries along “One Belt and One Road” so as to promote the economic development of those countries, but also bring along achieving capacity transfer of domestic energy equipment manufacturing, power planning and design, power construction and operations etc., so as to accelerate structural adjustment.Combined with practical experience of Yunnan Provincial Energy Investment Group(hereinafter referred to as YEIG) to carry out international cooperation business in recent years, based on the summary and analysis of internationalization strategy of China’s enterprises, this article analyzes and concludes the general rule of enterprises’ internationalization strategy development. Also aiming at main targeted markets of YEIG’s internationalization strategy, this article studies and analyzes the macro-economy and power industry development of those bordering countries along “One Belt and One Road”, proposes the objective, positioning, path and support system of YEIG’s internationalization strategy, proposes the corresponding measures for existing problems.This article is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction part; The second part being the current situation and existing problems of internationalization strategy of China’s power enterprises in the context of “One Belt and One Road”; The third part being the SWOT Analysis of YEIG’s internationalization strategy; The fourth part being the implement measures and support system of YEIG’s internationalization strategy; The fifth part is the conclusion part of this article.
