A Study On The Employment Security Of Migrant Workers In Minority Nationalities

The Chinese minority migrant workers, as the inevitable product of the process of China’s urbanization and industrialization, is rapid growing since China’s reform and opening-up policy. And their contributions to China’s economic and social growth become more and more great. However, the dual urban and rural household registration system in China limits the minority of migrant workers’ employment security. This is already a disadvantage factor that infringes their lawful rights and obstructs their living standards.In consequence,improvement of corresponding employment security system is undoubtedly significant to achieve a scientific,balanced and sustainable new development at the current stage.It is considered as a conductive means to maintain ethnic minority migrant workers’ legal interests, accelerate social economic development and narrow the disparity in urban and rural areas.The Exordium redes the research background and fundamentality, as well as expatiates the necessity and urgency of perfecting employment security of minority migrant workers.Chapter One describes literature review,research ideas and methods, while defines several basic correlation concept,such as minority,migrant workers and employment security. Meanwhile,it analyzes the present characteristics of minority migrant workers and gives a brief view on related theories.Chapter Two focuses on statistical analysis on current situation of minority migrant workers, including employment opportunities,welfare benefits, social rights as well as employment services.The author takes the ethnic minority migrant workers in Gejiu city as objects o f s t u d y, a p p l y i n g a n s w e r i n g q u e s t i o n n a i r e s a n d r a n d o m s a m p l i n g methods.According to statistical analysis in the previous Chapter, Chapter Three points out the existential problems.Chapter Four,which is the key chapter,analyzes the system, market and subjective reasons.Based on the domestic and foreign research results,Chapter Five puts forward corresponding countermeasures in order to improve e m p l o y m e n t s e c u r i t y l e v e l o f e t h n i c m i n o r i t y m i g r a n t w o r k e r s.
