Research On The Construction Of Environmental Carrying Capacity And Explanation System Of Hani Terraces

With the rapid development of ecological tourism, Hani Rice Terraces attract a great deal of tourists by its special landscape with unique feature of both nature and culture, which promotes the economic development of local community. However, as the world cultural landscape heritage, Hani Terraces should be protected in terms of authenticity and integrity, which is a critical principle can’t be neglected. To develop the eco-tourism sustainably not to devalue the heritage, there is still an imperative problem to be solved to balance the tourism development and the heritage protection.Ecological tourism environment carrying capacity assessment and Tourism interpretation can be the effective means to solve this problem. Consequently, this paper is going to indicate a further exploratively study from two aspects and the combination of them on the basis of the current status of the heritage conservation.Providing certain scientific basis for the sustainable development of heritage sites.In the first part, this paper demonstrates the background and significance, the basic theory, the definition of concepts of tourism interpretation, reviews concerned studies of domestic and overseas,and then indicates it in six aspects of theoretical concepts,functions, media, objects, plans, and assessments respectively,as well as the main contents of this paper. In the second part, this paper states the natural and socio-economic situation of Hani rice terraces heritage area, and introduces the technical and research methods used in this paper. The third part shows the current situation of Hani rice terraces culture landscape heritage and the threats it faces with.The fourth part is the assessment of the environmental carrying capacity of Hani rice terraces culture landscape, which contributes to determine the red line of tourists current, providing guidance of the ecotourism planning for heritage sites and a basical theory to build the tourism interpretation system, thereby improving the quality of interpretational services. The fifth part is the core of this paper, after ensuring the objectives of tourism interpretation and complying with the international principles,interpretational system of Hani Terraces has been constructed and so does its four components, which are the main organizers, interpretational contents, media and object, namely, the tourists. Meanwhile, the relationship between these componentshas been also indicated. As a result, a proper interpretation has great significance for the protection of Hani rice terraces and the realization of sustainable development of heritage region. In addition, expound the relationship between environmental carrying capacity and the interpretation system, so as to provide scientific basis for heritage protection and the ecotourism development. Finally, the sixth part makes conclusions of this paper and put forward some suggestions for heritage protection and ecotourism development of Hani rice terraces.
