The economic development depends on the speed of three factors: capital, labor force and progress of technology. And human resource has becomes the most flexible element in these factors and it has potential to promote the economic development. Some managers in modem enterprises believe that the traditional product belongs to compesitive resource, while the intending one belongs to compesitive knowledge. That is to say, the survival and development of corporation will rely on the improvement of people's wisdom and skill. As a core content of human resource management, performance appraisal and salary management have show their importance.Performance appraisal and salary management are two important factors and core contents in hr management. There are many models of salary management and methods of perform evaluations which adapt to various corporations and different stuffs. It is important to choose or exploit effective manage model of salary and method of perform evaluation basing on corporation's character itself. And it is also important to attract person with ability, retain person with ability, utilize person with ability and inspirit stuff that will improve the management and establish competitive advantage.The thesis begins with the problems performance appraisal and salary management exist in XXX Corporation. The thesis analyses the theory related to the problems in the following two chapters. Then, the thesis combines theory with practice, and brings forward performance appraisal and salary management models, which embody XXX Corporation itself. We hope that this thesis will help other corporation with their human resource management.
