| Potato is one of the main crops and potato production is one of the most characterized industries in Inner Mongolia which is the biggest province in cultivation area and total yield in China. However, the potato industry including potato production, procession and trade, is still underdeveloped comparing with ones in some developed countries. On the basis of kinds of advantages for developing potato production in Inner Mongolia, demand for economical development in rural area and inter-national potato production trends, success experience about developing agriculture and the model of agricultural product marketing, the SWOT analysis of potato production in Inner Mongolia was given. In this paper, the significance for developing potato further in Inner Mongolia was elucidated; the great market potential was analyzed. According the theory of marketing ,the potato marketing strategy about west region in Inner Mongolia was given, include target market strategy , brand marketing strategy an inherent advantage strategy. Detailed methods to complete strategies was put forward as well. |
