With the end of sudden huge profits times in domestic automobile industry , the competition on automobile market aggravates gradually .The company will fail if it couldn't better than others in the aspects of quality, cost, delivery and service . The Beilv's situation at recent years shows that Beilv will lose its last cake unless it introduces reengineering into its core processes . Especially the assembly process, the critical sub-process of manufacturing process, was worse . In order to change these conditions, some modern management methods should be used as basic tools. So this thesis tries to promote the Beilv's core competitive ability by adopting BPR to optimize the assembly process, in order to get the superiority in rate, cost and quality .At first, the article sets forth its background and reviews the development of Business Process Reengineering , then the article analyses the Beilv's internal and external conditions before Business Process Reengineering, puts forward the new strategy and goals, and describes the specific assembly target on basis of the strategy goals and the assembly process status in the automobile manufacture factory . It also sketches the prerequisites of the successful BPR .The article describes the defaults of the past assembly process on the layers of manufacturing process and assembly technique, which exists in planning process, product data management, research and design procedure, assembly workshop's position. Unreasonable layout of assembly workshop, untimely supply, uncontrollable quality, line unbalance, etc. restrict the improvements of Beilvs' performance.More importantly, this paper emphasizes analyzing and designing new plan on the points of master producing plan, product development, assembly quality, assembly spot control, assembly technique. It finished all critical processes affecting assembly efficiency on basis of many advanced theories and techniques, such as JIT, TQM, MRP, PDM, IE etc.. The research gives valuable proposes on preparation, executing schedule, critical process activities. Finally it evaluates the new assembly process and it's executing effects.Focused on assembly process, the article decomposes it from many angles such as quality, purchase, research and design, master producing plan and schedule, etc.. Atmean time, it improves the assembly process to be oriented productivity, cost and quality by means of many kinds of management techniques. This article has a practical instructional meaning for Beilv to enhance customer satisfaction, improve company management and reinforce company competitiveness. At the same time, it has certain reference and consultation value for such the automobile manufacture companies as Beilv.The article's study methods: positive pattern and normative pattern. It mainly adopts sample method, observation method, experience method, talking method, documents method, etc..I have been engaged in automobile manufacture operation and management for many years , my studying the course of management science and engineering heartens me to apply theory to reality . As deputy vice general manager, I have led and organized Beilv's assembly process reengineering from the end of 2003. I think it is urgent and necessary to apply theory to reality in the valuable experience of this activity.
