In the age of knowledge_economy, the key of enterprises' existence and development is closely related to the innovation ability. The strength and weakness of enterprises' innovation ability decide enterprises' fate, and enterprises' innovation ability largely depends on enterprises' organizational structure. This paper, which mainly bases on theories of the organizational structure, organization innovation and business-unit structure etc, studies how to carry out enterprises' organizational structure and the application of these theories in LUOYANG COPPER (GROUP) CO., LTD under the new competitive situation of corporation, and puts forward a series of rather systemic ways and means of designing the organizational structure of an enterprise.The thesis gives a general introduction to the research background, literature summarization, research methods and writing clue。 In the literature summarization, it narrates the research trend of organization innovation and business-unit structure. It introduces the principal, process and method of structure and organization design and also concludes the main factors affecting organization innovation; then gives an account of the causes, currents and steps of organization innovation; and brings especially about the business-unit structure's leading characteristics and also the strong and weak points and its applicable conditions.This assay makes a diagnosis to the internal and external environment of LY-COPPER GROUP and present organizational structure . It analyzes enterprise's external condition based onmacroeconomics situation > related industrial development and the supply and demand of copper in China. The article analyzes LY-COPPER GROUP internal environment, including human resources> financial resources> technological resources> material resources-, network resources> invisible resources, and evolutes the enterprise's environment. Meantime, it analyzes further the whole condition of LY-COPPER GROUP by means of "SWOT" measures; this assay also analyzes corporate present organizational structure, points out the necessity of enterprise's innovation.The article designs the organizational structure for LY-COPPER GROUP. It ascertains the design dimensionality with the main focuses on the explanation of the choice Of organizational structure type, the whole objective, development strategy, external customer and division basis of business-unit structure.
